[Well, Clint is bloody quick off the mark to mention the trouble. John's not doing audio. He sounds about as bad as he feels, and maybe even worse than that.]

As all right as I can be, Ms. Romanov, thank you. I'm sorry for the trouble. I thought Mr. Barton and your group would be the most appropriate to contact given the circumstances. I take it he's told you what happened.

He certainly did. Bucky had a different story.

Yes. I know what he did to you, and I'm sorry. It should have never gone this far.

[jumpthegun]

[Bucky, it's highly inconvenient when you completely destroy his lie before it's barely gotten off the ground.]

No, it shouldn't have, but it has. If you know, then you might want to let Mr. Stark know he needs to be careful how he phrases things to Sergeant Barnes. In words that aren't going to make him think this is all his fault.

[Because John highly suspects that's going to happen. It's how he'd feel, certainly.]

[redrooms]

I'll sort it out.

[She seems to be sorting out a lot lately, between Clint and Tony and Bucky.]

Is there anything I can do for you? How badly are you injured?

[jumpthegun]

Not from where you are, no. I'm going to have a little trouble walking. [A lot of trouble walking.] Everything else is superficial. [And painful. Very painful.]

I'll manage. I'm more concerned about him and that arm of his. I did more damage to it in the middle of our fight. I really don't think there's any way around it coming off, and I only have so many bandages.

If you can keep an eye out for a lighter or matches on your way here, we can cauterize the wounds. I don't like doing it so delayed, but it's better than leaving them to try to heal on their own.

I'll look. I have two first aid kits, although I'm not sure how much help that will be. It's going to take us a while to get to you.

I might check with someone I know down in the entrance area, then. I don't really want them seeing or catching wind of any of this, but I'd rather he get the care he needs.

If you wouldn't mind sticking to me being an idiot who had a fight with an aquarium tank in public, I'd be much obliged. The truth will cause more problems than anyone wants.

[Natasha lets out a frustrated sigh.]

We'll have to think of a better story than that. How are you really doing, doctor?

He thought I was an anomaly because of the static?

[Maybe that's more plausible. It at least has the benefit of explaining why it looks like he was in a fight.]

And I'll be fine. Thank you.

[redrooms]

He said he sliced a tendon in your leg. Can you walk?

[jumpthegun]

With a cane. I've done it before. I can do it again. I have an umbrella.

[redrooms]

That isn't a longterm solution.

[But really, they don't have many options.]

Is there anything we can do for you? Anyone we can contact?

[jumpthegun]

I can contact who I need to, Ms. Romanov. I'm injured, not dying.

And we're not here in the long-term, as far as I'm given to understand. Only a few more months. I don't fancy dying, which is the only way I'm aware of to obtain enough MN to repair an injury like this. So, I'll make do.

[And fret about leaving the aquarium in case an anomaly comes after them. John can't run, Bucky's not going to be able to carry him... This is one of the worst injuries to have had inflicted on him, and it's galling, but he's trying not to be petty.

At least Bucky didn't get his hand.]

I know, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

[And Natasha feels a little bit responsible.]

I will. Please don't feel like this is your fault, either, Ms. Romanov. Sergeant Barnes made this decision. I told him very clearly before it started that this was his choice, not anyone else's. He was aware of that when he attacked me.

[redrooms]

I know that.

[Still, she should have tried harder to stick with him.]

Thank you for treating him even after what he did. Most people wouldn't have.

He did what he did to try to help a friend and out of fear, and he didn't cross the line into something far worse when he had me tied up and very well could have. Fundamentally he's a good man.

I'm bloody pissed at him right now, but that'll pass.

[redrooms]

That makes two of us. I'll keep an eye on him after this, so you won't have to worry.

Medically, I'm bound to worry. He's in a very not-good way. I'll do what I can, but he's let this go too long. I had the chance to deal with this weeks ago. It's just frustrating. It's partly my fault taking so long to get to him.

It isn't your fault.

[Sigh!]

We'll likely be traveling with him for a while. What can we do to help?

Make sure you have plenty of bandages or things you can use for them to keep his fresh. Also any additional clothing that he can use to wrap around the affected area to keep it warm and protected. I know you're going to be hurrying down here, but those are the things to keep an eye out for, along with just basic soap and sanitizer.

How much tissue did you have to remove?

I haven't done it, yet. He told me to see to my own wounds first. I'm probably going to have to remove a good portion of the tissue around where the metal's touching his skin.
