Alphonse three days ago. He was with the Joker while he had his sanity intact. Movements are so bad right now, though. You can't see it, but the world's sort of gone all static-y. White blurs and people's voices cutting off in nonsense noise sometimes.
It was a hell of a lot worse a few days ago, but it's stuck around. I think something's about to happen, Alfie, and I don't think it's going to be good. It might be to do with the Prophet, and Kesara... she's got a connection there, and I'm worried she's gonna be in danger. The shadows outside have changed and they've been telling us to kill the Prophet.
I think so. Maybe Stephanie, too? Alphonse said they ran into a bit of trouble with anomalies the day we were heading down into the ice tunnels. Ended up scattering from a larger group. Whatever application Kesara picked up that's got to do with the Prophet, it wards off anomalies. I think she's found a way to be safe from those, at least, for now.
I messaged her a few hours ago. Haven't heard back from her, yet. I'll let you know if I do before you do. I know she doesn't get on with Duster. Might be she's avoiding him.
I didn't say he forgave me. [There's a difference, Alfie, and John's aware of it.] If you wouldn't mind telling him he's creepy when he twirls his weapons around people, though, I'd be much obliged.
[Sorry, Watson. The thought of that makes Alfie grin.]
I'm sure he knows it.
[But the fleeting amusement fades quickly. He's really not in a very good mood - because of what had happened to him, because of his surroundings, and because of the news Watson has brought him. And then there's something else - a general sense of uneasiness and vague confusion that he's started to feel, but hasn't voiced yet.
Hopefully it's just caused by the building, and will be gone as soon as he can leave in the morning.]
Feel like talking a while, mate? I'm gonna be stuck in here for the night.
[John's throat hurts along with the rest of him, and he... doesn't actually feel much like talking, but he will. He's just glad to hear Alfie's voice again.]
Sure. Anything particular you'd like to talk about?
I could tell you a few other things that've happened since you've been gone? Beckett died and left his notes with Brian. Something else to listen to, if you'd like.
The people in the museum seem to be getting along to clearing a path through the debris. And Zell's group trapped an anomaly in the loo at the firehouse. Apparently, it was still there after they left and came back a day later.
Kunsel just put up a post asking for ideas on what to do with it and warning people about it. That Hange person seems like they want to study it. Reckon Merlwyb would want to, as well. She was looking to catch one. But I think that's the group over at the museum.
You did give us a scare taking so long to get back. I know at least Jim and Zack might be down where you are. Zack with a 'k.' If you contact them, they might be able to help you out in the morning. Angel and Rhys are down here somewhere, too. Not sure where.
I'm gonna end up outside on my own tomorrow, and I don't know the buildings down here well. But there's one next door, yeah? One I can point myself at and walk to blindly with little trouble?
[He's still worried about the Joker, but that goes without saying.]
Good idea. I can try to guide you, at least, and if you want to contact Rhys and Angel, let them know you're in Building #165. On the bright side, I suppose, at least you've got your clothes this time.

[Aren't you glad to be alive, Alfie?]

[Zach is fine, Alfie doesn't really have anything against him - but he doesn't trust him to handle himself well in bad situations.]

[He is already so done with being blind.]

[He links that conversation.]
The Joker and Brian had messages about it, too.
[The Joker and Brian's messages get attached.]
casually makes this preemptively tragic
[He'll listen to those later, when he has time to mull it all over.]
I spoke with Duster. Fiona's not with them; she must be in another part of the building. It'll be good to hear her voice.
i hate you

Mm... I dunno if it still stands now you're alive, but Duster and I... he said he'd work with me. Thanks for... whatever you said to him.

He's back now, too, just last night.

The aquarium's northwest, but there's going to be me, the person I'm treating and maybe two other people here tomorrow. Dunno if you wanna risk that.
[He's blind. At least he won't be able to see how bad off John is if he comes.]

Due west it is, then. I don't want to walk long in the snow in this state.
