[He already knows Alfie's got Al's help with the Joker situation. He wonders if he ought to try to persuade the lad to leave once Alfie and Royce were getting close. But if Steph couldn't... well. Apparently Al trusts Alfie more than him. So there's that for indication of how things would go.]

Safe as anyone can be here, lad. Out of the pair of us, you're the one running after the Joker, right? This'll be the third time you try to wrangle him, right? I know men like him are difficult to hang onto.

What exactly happened to you, Dr. Watson?

Glad he's in custody. Best you leave the heavy lifting on minding him to Batman. He's had a bit more experience.

As for what happened, me and Bucky had a bit of a scuffle, banged each other up. Have you ever broken your nose? It looks horrifying. Not actually as bad as all that, but people worry.
