It's okay. I'll be fine. [It's a remarkably flat statement, lacking the bite to be a true dismissal. She wasn't a person. She didn't take priority here.]
No, I'm not. After you all reunited, things actually... started to improve, in a way. I think I passed out not long afterward. Everything seems normal enough now. Just lingering symptoms from lack of food and water.
[Easier than some like Alfie, but John's not going to mention it.]
Still not as easy as I would've liked you to have. How are you doing for everything else? What we saw and found out... are you holding up all right? I know this must remind you of home in all the worst ways.
[He'll just focus on her emotional needs. it's easier. Fiona had called him out on doing this. He doesn't expect Luna will.]
I'm okay. It's similar in some regards, but... [But not enough to warrant such an expectation for distress. What happened to the Earth just was an event of the past, like anything else.]
I...I should be asking you all of this, John. I wasn't the one down there...
[All right, well at least Luna isn't being so brusque about it. He'll try to brush it off and deflect, anyway.]
I'll be fine. There are people who had it a lot worse than me, and you lot up here were suffering far more. I'm just glad we managed to fix the Admin. I'd like to know what happened to Robert Miller, though.
...I'm glad for your success as well. Still, um... if you ever wanted to talk about it... I don't mind listening. Okay?
[She doesn't want it to be a push, considering how quickly he's brushing it aside. But it feels wrong not to at least extend the offer when she knows he's likely been running on adrenaline and terror for the last few days.]
Anyway. Robert Miller... He's the man who was talking to the network that whole time, correct? Did any of you learn anything else about him while you were down there?
I appreciate that, Luna. Maybe once things have settled down a bit, yeah? [So, probably never.]
'Fraid you got as much as we did about Mr. Miller. I still don't understand what that really was. it must've all been an hallucination, though. Or... a simulated reality, like a holodeck? Sorry, hologram system that takes up a whole room to create environments. When everything came back up, we were in some sort of break room and up above, it just looked like... I dunno. A giant warehouse that's falling apart. The Admin's using anything she can get her hands on to try to make repairs with, it looks like.
