Is people losing body parts a regular occurrence where you're from? None of the ones I've known have gone mad, though. Many of them have to deal with phantom pain symptoms like you're experiencing, but that's not a universal response. And like I said, that's treatable.

Medicines are designed for a certain purpose. Sometimes while you're curing one thing, you're disrupting another. The drugs that get to market typically have side effects that are less severe than whatever you're treating or they're an unfortunate result of getting rid of a very serious problem.

Phantom pain is a chronic condition. The side effects for what I'm recommending can, but do not always, include a lowered sex drive, sleepiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, or weight gain. Again, these are only possible effects of taking the medication. Some people don't experience any side-effects, and we can adjust a dosage of a medication or switch to a similar one if there are any issues with the first. Some things work better for some people based on the specific chemistry of their body.

No. Those are painkillers. This is a specialty drug that wouldn't fall under that category, even if it'll address your pain.

All right. The drug I'm going to start you on is called amitriptyline. You're going to have a starting dose of 75 mg/day. It'll be broken up into three pills each day. One in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one just before you go to bed. As a warning, it may take a few days, up to a week, for the medicine to start working. It's one of those things where you body needs to adjust to the drug and that might happen faster or slower depending on your particular body make-up.

I'll let you know as soon as I get a response from the ADMIN on the script. You'll be able to find it in the next house you search after that.

Just swallow them, that's right. I'd recommend doing it with water to make it easier on yourself. If you feel nauseous after the first few doses, try to take the medication with food. That should ease it. That's not one of the typical side-effects, but it's a possibility.
