[He doesn't want to deal with this right now. He's angry at Alfie for not telling him what happened earlier. He could have prevented this if he'd known. He wouldn't have told Ecks he was with Duster. He wouldn't have let her just roam the house freely.]

He's dead. Ecks for House. Tried to stop her. Tried to save him. Didn't work. I'll meet you at 49. Have his things for you for when he wakes up. Because I'm not really interested in a bloodfeud, if you've got a problem with what Ecks did, you can take it out on me. I'm sending her off until I deliver Duster's things. I'll be keeping an eye on her from here on out.

I could've stopped this, Solomons. If I'd know that Duster murdered House. If I'd known that Ecks knew about it.

[Because Ecks doesn't understand why what she did was wrong, and he's not going to let this stupid cycle of revenge continue. He expects Alfie might murder Ecks. For a proxy? Probably just torture. He can deal with that. He can deal with anything right now. John feels numb, and it's nothing to do with the cold. His own tone is just flat.]

All right. See you later in the day. I'll inform Tifa if you don't plan to.
