You're already here to make a wish. What exactly is it encouraging when you've already made up your mind not to help me fight Law or talk to my meis- to Sherlock?
[A bright ball of white light explodes from the end of the barrel and flies until it hits a tree in the distance, blasting off one of the larger limbs. As far as shots go, that's the best one he's felt so far. It sends a bolt of excitement through the Weapon and he all but hums in Alfie's grip, radiating excitement and pleasure.]
Go on and go again! That was great, Alfie!
[On Alfie's end, he might be able to feel the power flow through him with the shot, but it shouldn't be unpleasant, more like a wash of heat and exhilaration.]
[Even if it did feel awesome. He sets Watson down on the ground gently enough (he isn't sure how quickly the change back will take hold, but suddenly holding a fully-grown man in one hand doesn't sound like something that would work out so well), and picks up a rock.]
I wish for John Watson to go back to as he should be.
But it still bothers you. [Just pointing that out.] I can try to see if there are some therapy books, if you'd like, train myself up, but it's not something I'm particularly good at, Alfie. Wish there was some sort of therapist from Norfinbury. They'd have the best idea of how to handle things if they went through it, too.
Head stuff's a lot harder to cure with just medication. You could maybe talk to Zephyr about wishing for your hands not to shake? But that's not really dealing with what's causing it.
Well, you've got a nice bathhouse, at least? Somewhere to stay. Maybe go to the butterfly garden at the museum? Or take a holiday to the islands. I'll lend you my boat, if you like.

It feels good, but it's not sexual. Don't be weird. It's the same sort of 'good' I get when Sherlock runs me 'round on a case.

[As he considers this, he heads towards the pile of throwing rocks.]

[Trying to decide if going through with it would be an interesting experiment... or if it would be enabling.]

[On the other hand...]
But I suppose there's no harm in giving you this, given all the rest. Yeah.
[And with that, he swings his gun arm up and fires one smooth, clean shot, clear across the pond.]

[He tosses the rock into the pond.]

Hmm... usually takes a day or so, I'm pretty sure.

[He rubs his chin thoughtfully, considering John.]
It's been a while since I've shot a gun, you know. Yeah.

[Was it as good for you as it was for him, Alfie?]

Let's go to the clinic. If you want something to help you sleep, it'll be there. Everything else... That's more Milla's area.

[John's attempts with her at therapy hadn't gone terribly well. But he'd also been incredibly reticent, which hadn't helped.]

Yeah... you could get to know her, maybe? She's nice enough. Sweet, really. Psychic, though.

[But it also isn't a trait he'd want in a therapist.]

No, mate, I like that idea less than therapy. But if there's nothing medical to be done about it--
[Then he'll just keep working on it on his own, trying to relax and de-stress as much as he can.]
