[Usually people see his murder glare and obey the shut up order, Flynn just keeps going even after overt threats.]

Have you tried bargaining with him? Like 15 minutes per hour he has to be quiet and you'll... talk back to him for the other 45 minutes.

John, you're one of the people who knows me best. What makes you think I can make conversation with someone like that for 45 minutes out of every hour for days on end?

Okay. What if you let him chatter and talk for 5 to 10 minutes per hour?

How about I let him call you and chatter to you for ten minutes every hour?

[If Bucky's trying to annoy John into submission with chatter, he has no idea what John endured for years with Sherlock. He can tune people out very effectively while maintaining the appearance of paying attention.]

I guess you're right, it's hard to walk ahead when you've gotta carry a guy.

[He's not sure why he hasn't just abandoned Flynn somewhere by now.]

Wait, you're carrying Flynn? What happened to him?

Pretty sure he broke his leg, he's better than he was.

It's not life threatening, and he's healing up.

We've got it handled, you don't need to be a doctor right now. He's fine, I've got him.

[It's a challenge to 'turn it off,' unfortunately. Especially when Bucky hasn't actually given him an answer on that splint.]

We're gonna take a look at the wall downtown, but I know Stephen's still up around the clinic if you do need a doctor.

What's going on at the wall downtown?

[He thought that most people were heading to the bunker, he hadn't heard of anything new being discovered downtown in a long time.]

Nothing much at the moment, but with people poking around in the bunker, I've been wondering if we could maybe get whatever access panel is supposed to be there to work. Maybe with the Galaxy Key app. Think there're enough people in the bunker to manage things, so we're checking the unlikely possibilities outside while we wait.

Seems smart, that many people in one place are just asking for an anomaly attack.

Flynn and I are heading to one of the Russian ghost houses, he wants to try talking to them.

Let me know if that works. Haven't had much luck contacting any of the data ghosts lately. That... might have just been the death price, though.

Not as bad as some death prices? At least you could still keep yourself moving and safe, right?

[He'd actually quite enjoy it, a whole town of solitude.]

[There's a very long pause on the reply. John's tempted to just agree and be done with it, but he'd made a promise to try to be better than that.]

It's not as bad as some of those, no, but probably worse in other ways. I thought I was going mad, Buck. Every time Sherlock touched me or redirected me, it's like time just... stopped. I didn't know what was happening. I knew there was time missing, but sometimes I couldn't even tell how much. Or I'd find myself in a different spot.

[He's surprised at the elaboration, but perhaps a bit pleased too. He can see how it might have been worse now, at least for someone who isn't him. Although the losing time and being redirected would have messed with his head too.]

Seems like he could have stopped doing it, just followed you instead, so that didn't happen.
