[He knows of three doctors here, he's contacting two of them.
The third is too much of a risk considering he might already know who Bucky is, unless that guess with his name really was dumb luck. It's not worth taking that chance.
His hands are shaking as he types, making the responses slow.]
You're a doctor, right? Do you have any sedatives?
[He didn't realise prescriptions could be written and filled here. How does that even work with the supply situation? Suspicious...]
Someone dangerous needs to be controlled. Sedatives are the safest way.
[He won't mention that he's the dangerous person. He doesn't want to put himself to sleep, just make himself slower and easier to fight off if something goes wrong again. He's killed two more people, he can't risk it happening again.]
Sorry to be blunt, but I don't know who you are. You've told me nothing, you could have kidnapped someone and need to keep them under control. I need you to tell me what's going on if I'm going to help you. At the very least, I need to know what the weight, sex, and age range of the person you want me to prescribe these for is. It's something I need for the dosage. Also need to know what you're trying to do. Knock someone out completely? Subdue them? Again, it'll matter for the dosage and what I prescribe.
[He contemplates hanging up now, the questions are getting too detailed. But he's already failed at getting the sedatives from Stein, Watson is his last hope unless he tries House, but that's already too risky.]
260lbs. Male. 30s.
[Is he in his thirties? Is he near a hundred? Is he somewhere in between adding up the years spent in and out of cryo?]
[To lie or not to lie? He hesitates for a few seconds, hovering over the keys. But to lie would make it worse if he were found out, nobody would believe him that he hadn't wanted to hurt them if he lies now.]
If you had it under control, you wouldn't need sedatives. I really need to know who it is to be able to help you @j. I'm sorry. We've got limited resources and I don't know if I can trust you. If you can't tell me, could you show me, at least? Take a quick vid of them when you can and send it over.
He can feel this slipping through his fingers again and he wants to punch a hole in the wall. He needs this, because there's limited options to keep others safe from him here. He can't just leave, as he would if he were back in the world he knew. He can't fully isolate himself because the town is small and people are always moving, coming across him by surprise.
This is his best bet to make himself safer to be around in case the Soldier is triggered again.
There's the longest of pauses, but he just can't risk it.]
I can't do that. Please, I'm just trying to keep everybody safe. I need this.
[He can't help the twist of a bitter smile. This is all a joke, he's going to end up hunted here too, and it's gone too far for him to stop it. Spoiler already knows his name and has been telling people - or, at least, Steve. Steve is unlikely to keep quiet about it.
He can't hide it. His best bet it to run, and he can't even do that here.
Bucky swallows hard, teetering on the edge of hanging up or carrying on. In the end, the risk of killing someone else is what spurs him on.]
I'm prescribing you Fentora. Have you ever taken a buccal tablet? In essence, you'll stick the tablet under your lip and up against the outside of your teeth and you'll let it dissolve. 30 mcg/kg is something I'd prescribe if I we taking you in for a major surgery I expected to take several hours. DO NOT drink alcohol if you have it while you're taking these. You'll probably be dead before anyone can reach you to sort it out, rather than just slowed down.
Some of the common side effects are dry mouth, headache, anxiety, nausea, constipation and vomiting. You should be laid out pretty solidly during any of that, though. If you feel any chest pain or break out in hives at the first dose, don't use it again and let me know. We'll figure out something else. I'm not giving you anything you can inject, though.
[No offense, @j, but he's not giving you a needle and something easy to use on other people.]
I'm prescribing a 2-week dose to be used as-needed. I trust you're trying to avoid people for the moment? I hope you won't need it.
[He feels some of the tension in his shoulders ease with the massive relief of getting some help. Not all of it, because he doesn't have the tablets yet. This could still be a trap to get him to reveal himself so that he can be apprehended for what he's done.]
Thank you.
How do I collect it from you?
[He's ignoring most of the advice. He's got the dose and how to take it, everything else is moot.]
It should be in the next house you search from what we've seen. You don't need to pick it up from me.
Can you at least give me something to call you apart from @j? I understand you're trying to lie low, but I can keep a secret. Doctor-patient confidentiality.

Not on me, but I can write a prescription. What's happening?

Sir, please tell me where you are and who you're with. We need someone to help you.

[Why must everyone be so nosy? He can't be around people, he's proven that already.]

It's to subdue them. They're dangerous. A killer.

Have they killed someone here?
no subject
Yes. I'm trying to stop anyone else dying.

Are you with Handsome Jack?

[It's too easy to check up on that sort of lie.]
I have it under control. I just need the sedatives.

The dreams, right?
[He wouldn't be asking for help if he was a cold-blooded killer out for more blood. Or so John imagines.]
Do you have any medication allergies that you're aware of, sir?
no subject
The explanation doesn't matter, he's still a killer.]
No allergies. I'll need a lot, I have a fast metabolism.
